Prologue
One Phone Call
Sometimes all it takes is one phone call to change lives; all that is needed is the courage to make it but no one could have anticipated the changes which came about from this particular phone call or how many lives it would change.
Six year old Harry Potter was an unusual child in many ways though the reason which stood out at the most was he did not behave like a child. He was quiet and withdrawn, never smiling, never playing, and in fact never doing much of anything. This behaviour was explained by his aunt and uncle as disobedience, his teachers were told the boy was ignorant and had severe behavioural issues. He was always in trouble at school; he never did any work in class, never did any homework and never participated so no one ever asked questions that was, until now.
"Child protective services how can I help"
"Hello, I am concerned about the welfare of one of my students, he has not been in school for several days and when I ring his guardians the only reply I get is that he has misbehaved and will not be in school for the remainder of term. To me this does not seem normal, the headmaster says it happens a lot but I would feel much happier if someone could just pop round and check on the child."
"That does sound like an unusual situation, if you could give us the name, age and address of the child one of our social workers will make a visit.
"His name is Harry Potter. He is 6 years old and lives at 4 Privet Drive
Little Whinging, Surrey."
