The lights were flickering every now and again-a constant reminder of what Atlantis had recently been through, and Weir was sick of it.

She couldn't stop thinking about how close they'd come to almost loosing the city-not just to the Genii, who were now a serious problem, but also to the storm. They'd nearly lost Ford, Teyla, Beckett, and some Athosian kids. They'd nearly lost their people, on the fringe in some other world. She, herself, had experienced living on someone else's planet…and hadn't liked the idea of doing it again any time soon.

They had to seriously reign in supplies, figure out a game plan, and work on finding a way to get back home.

"Dr. Weir? I thought you might like some coffee," Teyla's voice came from her doorway, and she wasn't surprised to see Sheppard and Ford with her. Rodney was probably either still working, or-hopefully-getting some much needed rest.

"Thank you, Teyla, but honestly I was thinking of trying to get some sleep. It's been…a rough night," She admitted, sighing heavily.

"Aye," Carson said, stepping from behind Ford and Weir almost started-she'd not even noticed he was there. "Aye, that it has. I just had to take Rodney into the infirmary. Radek said that the poor man refused to leave his lab, and that he was beginning to fall asleep, but kept waking himself up. I gave him medicine to sleep without dreams, so he would get some rest."

"Thank you, Carson. John, Ford, Teyla? Are you three doing alright?"

"I think so," Ford said, shifting. "Radek's got the puddle jumper being looked at by some of our engineers, and they say it should be fine-it was heavily hit by wind and rain for the most part. Sturdy things. Ford ought to take a look at those blueprints,"

All of them except Teyla quirked a smile at that. Teyla was confused.

"You are saying that you ought to look at the blueprints?" She asked, frowning. "I do not understand," She admitted, looking annoyed and frustrated.

"I'll explain tomorrow, Teyla," Elizabeth said, quickly. "Don't worry about it," She added, sighing.

Teyla nodded, and for a quiet moment they just stayed that way.

"You guys wanna get a late snack? I think the kitchen staff has been trying to make brownies," Ford offered, and Elizabeth blinked.

"I didn't think that we brought any brownie mix," She observed, but started getting up from her chair, saving her documents as she did so. "But brownies sound perfect right about now."

"What are brownies?" Teyla asked, and Elizabeth smiled remembering that the Athosians-much less other people in the galaxy-had probably never had or even heard of chocolate before.

They started walking to the kitchen, where Elizabeth began explaining to Teyla what brownies were and why everyone from Earth loved them.

Pausing as she reached the cafeteria, she glanced around and began to feel calm again as she realized that the city was, truly, once again theirs.
