Intro: In today's world, 200 years after the release of the movies of the hunger games, the future government decided that this approach shall be used in modern society to control uprisings and rebellion. And so, each year on the 25th of August 48 tributes enter a custom-made arena and fight to the death, because their is such a big number of tributes there are four victors instead of one. Also, because there are too many countries in the world there is a lottery held to decipher which 12 countries of the world shall offer up their tributes. Each country offers up 2 boys and 2 girls between the ages of 14 and 18 to participate. The general rules are the same as those in the book and movie, there is a chariot ride, training and training scores and finally the fight to the death.
This is the story of the 27th annual international Hunger Games.
Jean-Marie (one of the victors from the 23rd Hunger Games) POV.
I wake up at 09.01 just in time to watch the lottery to see what countries are 'lucky' enough to get picked to offer up 4 of their youth. There are a few countries in the world that see this 'game' to be honourable and they seek out to win such a game, but there are others who just do it to follow the law. The first country is picked and it is Ireland, there tributes are fast strong good-looking a typical career for the most part, except the Irish are actually good people. The have the population of the most victors in the world which is cool if you think about it. The second country to be picked is Spain. They are strong but lack in the head department if you know what I mean (well most of the tributes from there are... not all). Then America, England and Australia are all picked, their tributes are just like those from Ireland. And the rest of the countries make these games out to be the best one yet, there isn't a week team in the mix, there are a couple of mediocre ones but mostly competitive. The last country that gets pulled out is France, looks like my tributes won't stand a chance.
The following day the reaping of each country is televised and I watch and review their tributes:
Ireland: These tributes are the best I've ever seen from Ireland. They look determined, like people on a mission, and it won't be easy to get passed them. The girls look for deadly than the boys, but I'm telling you now the boys won't be easy to take down. I notice two of them and know they are brother and sister from their eyes, piercing blue and children to the two Irish victors that won the same year as me, if they are anything like their parents, they are victors.
Spain: Again I am surprised by the tributes they offer up they look toned and ready for a fight, you can tell they are nervous from the sweat on their faces but without that good enough.
America: They offer up two definite bloodbath but two id say very good competitors, I think that America has the black horse in this year's battle.
England: The English are hard to read, they show no emotion. You can't tell if they are happy or if they are sad. That's what I like about seeing the English battle in the arena they might have a hidden talent they never reveal it until the last-minute.
Australia: They never disappoint... very strong and talented. Everyone looks forward to seeing them fight, they are so beautiful that it is nice to just watch them … anyway …
France: So far they look the weakest but I will fix that and use it to our advantage.
The other countries of Brazil, Germany, Russia, Egypt and China all show great potential. This games will be a good one
