Hotch kissed Reid softly on the lips as he led him to the bedroom.
They valued these night together, nights where they don't have to say anything. All they had to do was touch each other and they understood.
Hotch slowly took Reid's sweater and shirt off, never removing his lips off Reid's. When Reid was completely shirtless, Hotch took his arm and slowly kissed the track marks. Reid shuddered, both from the feeling of the butterfly kisses and the act itself.
Reid slowly pulled away and started to remove Hotch's shirt, cringing slightly from the scars on the older mans stomach. They symbolized the violent act that was inflicted upon him by Foyet. He knelt down and slowly kissed the scars, earning a small gasp from Hotch.
This was a ritual for them, every time they made love. The scars were never ignored, they were always a acknowledged and known. To say to the other that they are accepted as a whole, with the scars and every other flaw with them.
After they finished their ritual, the flopped on the bed together, the scars forgotten...for now.
AN: This just came to me after I saw the episode when Hotch got stabbed by Foyet. It was when Foyet was showing his scars to Hotch, I realize that Hotch will also have them. Reid of course also has scars from the Tobias Hankel ordeal. So, I wanted to put them in an intimate moment with them. Reviews are loved!
