THE GOOD THING ABOUT RAIN

It was a typical day in Forks. Rain, rain and more rain. I was currently on the porch waiting for Edward to pick me up. He told me that he had a surprise for me. I hate surprises.

A horn broke me out of my thoughts and I looked up to see 4 cars sitting outside my house. I ran down towards the Volvo as fast as I could in my clumsy state and slammed the door.

I turned to say hi but his lips cut off my greeting. Lately Edward had let go of some of his boundaries. I kissed him back just as passionately and just as I was about to take things further he pulled away.

"Hi cutie" he said, amused by the pout that had taken over my face. I smiled back at him and then we were off.

We had been driving for about 30 mins when all of the cars pulled off the highway and onto a small dirty road. After about another 10 minutes we stopped in front of a small brick cottage. It looked brand new and was positioned right next to a beautiful lake.

I was so excited that I didn't even wait for Edward to come around and open my door. I just jumped out and stopped in front of the cottage. Edward was beside me almost straight away and looked at me disapprovingly.

"I wish you would wait for me to open your door" he grumbled. I decided to ignore that little comment and looked toward the lake. The rain had stopped out here but the clouds still looked angry and I knew it would rain again momentarily. The rest of the family went on inside but Edward and I stayed outside, looking out at the lake.

I felt Edward take hold of my hand and I smiled up at him. It had started to spit so he was trying to pull me back into the house. I kept refusing.

"Bella" he whined. It was pretty funny because Edward rarely whined.

"I will go inside once you kiss me" I beamed. Edward walked towards me and pecked me on the lips. I couldn't have that.

I wound my hands into his hair and deepened the kiss. He wrapped his arms around me and held me so tight I could hardly breathe. But I didn't care.

It was at that moment that the skies decided to open up. I broke the kiss and looked up into the sky as the rain hit my face. I was instantly drenched and Edward was as well. I ran my hands through his hair and it stuck up. I giggled and Edward laughed before he kissed me again.

"Bella, sweetheart you must come inside before you catch a cold" Esme's voice cut through our moment and I pulled away, blushing, remembering where we were. Edward smirked at me before agreeing.

"Yes Bella. You will catch a cold"

"It would be so worth it" I smiled at him

This is my heaven.
