Time heals all wounds, or at least that is what she has always been told. In time her own wounds had healed. The physical faster than the emotional but the question was could this wound be healed? She didn't have the answer to that. Standing there watching him through the glass, she wondered if she would ever see him whole again. His head dropped into his hands but she had seen tears gathering in his eyes before he managed to hide his face. She reached over and pulled the string to bring down the blinds so nobody else could witness his grief. Turning around she gave those in the room a cold stare before leaving the room, saying with her eyes, don't mess with me. Captain Ross backed up a little and raised his hands to chest level.

She entered the interrogation room quietly, slipping through the door she barely opened. Walking over to him she wrapped her arms around his shoulder and laid the side of her head on the top of his. He turned and wrapped his arms around her waist and began to weep in earnest. They stayed like that for close to an hour before he began to calm down. He wiped the tears from his face and stood up to move away from her. "Sorry, I shouldn't have done that."

"What, you're not allowed to be human?"

"Yes...No...I don't..."
She reached out and poked a finger in his chest. "Guess what Goren, you are human and you have a right to be devastated by what Declan and Nicole did to you. But you know what else? This time you are going to let me help you. I needed you after Declan's daughter tried to destroy me, now you need me, whether you like it or not."

He reached out and pulled her to him and when her arms came back around him to hold him, she said. "I don't know what I ever did to deserve having you for a partner but what ever it was I am glad you're here."

"So am I"
