AN : Welcome everyone, here is my story which is about TWD. Starts during the first season, when the group is at the base camp. It features Shane Walsh and an OC. In deed I'm part of the Shane Walsh fandom which is very... Disliked, yeah. And there are only a few stories about him, so I decided to do my own. Warning you, there will be swearing and mature content. I will update once a week, well I'll try to. / I do not own TWD except for my OC. I'm already sorry for the mistakes, I'm French and I want to improve my english, corrections will be well appreciated! Enjoy :-)

Chapter One

She couldn't stop running. She felt like she was heading straight toward hell.

"Go away" she shouted, tears running down her face.

She didn't know what to do anymore. She started to run faster because monsters were close.

She chose another way and she was now lost in a deep forest, these hideous things that kept following her since she left her house in Atlanta were now far away behind her. One of them was her neighbor. She had known him since she was six. She didn't even recognize him, his left eye was gone, there was a big hole in his stomach but still, he could walk.

What the fuck was happening? What happened to him and the others? Was it some kind of serious disease or virus?

All she knew was that she was now on her own. Her mother died two years ago. Before this happening mess, she was living with her father on the weekends, the whole week she was living with her boyfriend and his brother.

When it all started, she was watching a movie with her father at home. She panicked and begged her father to go and take her boyfriend and his brother so they could leave together.

He never came back, neither did her boyfriend and his brother. She went to their place, but nobody was here. The house was clean, nothing happened here, so she had assumed that they left in a hurry and something made them go toward another way, they certainly had no choice.

She wanted to go look for them but when that group of monsters started following her she had no other choice than running far away from the street. And here she was, sitting behind a tree, hiding from the things. Lost, alone and scared.

"I can't do this anymore" she whispered, crying.

After getting her breath back, she decided to go on. Perhaps by leaving the forest she would head to interstate 85, but her mind was so disturbed and she was so frightened because of what was happening around her, she had no more memories of how to reach that damn route.

While she was running, she realized that her whole life in Atlanta was gone. She had lost her father and boyfriend. Her house was probably infested by the things, so was her whole neighborhood.

In fact, she just wanted to die. But she kept running. Why? Because deep down in heart, she knew that she would find her family again. She didn't want to imagine that they probably could have turned into these things. No she didn't want to.

When she was about to lose her breath again, she finally saw an end to this never-ending forest.

And she ended up in a place that looked like a... Base camp. Moreover, there were people like her, they were alive. A survivors camp! She could see that there were men, women, families...

Was this heaven?

She started to come nearer.. Nobody noticed her until she tripped over some dishes. They all turned over in surprise. Men raised their arms so fast, she jumped with surprise, raising her hands to show that she was harmless.

"Who are you? Stay where you are." A man with light brown hair and blue eyes said, it seemed that he was kind of the leader of the group.

There was another man beside him who seemed to be the second leader, he had black hair and dark brown eyes. He was looking at her so deeply, frowning, she wasn't able to speak anymore.

They lowered their guns, a woman with brown hair and a delicately framed face approached the leader and whispered to his ears. The black haired one looked at them and then turned back to the lost girl, saying.

"C'mon, we won't hurt you. We need more people, if ya ready to help us, we will help ya"

She gulped but she took a long and deep breath.

"My name is Theodora Collins, I'm nineteen and I lost everything in my life. So, I guess I have no other choice than helping you."

" I'm Rick Grimes, this is my wife, Lori and this is my partner, Shane Walsh. You will be very useful for our camp and we are all pleased to see that there are still some survivors left."

Theodora ducked her head. Yeah, some survivors. Her dad or boyfriend weren't one of them, so she didn't care at all.

"Come on, I'll introduce you to the others. We're pretty much here, I'm sure you'll find some friends." Lori smiled, while taking Theodora's hand.

Rick and Shane were quietly talking, Theodora couldn't hear any damn word, were they talking about her? Shane glanced up at her, reading her expression. She immediately turned away, blushing.

She didn't know why but that guy reminded her of her boyfriend, the first day they met.

Then, she started thinking. Would she be able to love someone else after losing her boyfriend without even being able to say goodbye to him? To think about that was hurting her so much.

When she got inside of the camp, she finally saw everyone. Lori and Rick had one son, Carl. There were two other families, two sisters, a few other guys as alone as her, an old man who reminded Theodora of her grandpa and.. Shane. Lori was right, they were pretty much. But she still felt so alone and empty.

Finally, she thought she didn't want to stay here. After meeting everyone, Lori and Rick gave her a place to set up the tent they offered her.

"Thank you so much." She said, smiling.

When they left, she started thinking about leaving right now, without telling anyone. She had to find her father and her boyfriend.

She was about to start packing when she realized that someone was approaching, so she started to settle as if nothing had happened.

"Please don't leave." Said a little voice behind her.

Well. Here is my first chapter. I hope you liked it even if there is not that much of action for the moment.

Just tell me if you see any mistakes.

Now, I need to know. Should I continue or not? Can't wait to read your reviews. :-)x
