Wareta no Sora

(Broken Sky)

A Kingdom Hearts Fanfiction By Kole-Chan.

The brown haired boy gazed forlornly at the night sky. Lifting his hand, he put it up trying to reach the stars, but they eluded him.

With a heavy sighed he dropped his hand back at his side. Soft foot steps neared him as a shadow fell across him. Glancing up he

was met with Riku's expectant face.

"Sora..." The name spoken sent shivers down his spine.

"Hmm?" Sora replied, gazing back over the oceon.

"You can't keep living like this." Riku stated before plopping down on the ground next to him.

"Like how?" Sora asked childishly, already knowing the answer.

"Staring off at nothing." Picking up a hand ful of the cool sand. Sora glared over at him.

"How else am I supposed to live?" He asked sarcastically. Riku didn't say anything. He didn't have to. Sora turned his gaze

back to the moon. It illuminated the water, lighting the bay in shadows.

"We decided to stay here." Riku mumbled after a few minutes of silence. Sora nodded his head.

"I know."

"Then stop moping." Riku growled, Sora looked up startled. The two lapsed into slence again. Finally, Sora managed to ask

what he had been pondering.

"Do you regret it?" Sora whispered quietly.

"Hmm?"

"Not going through the door."

"Everyday. I sit and think about what were missing, and what could have been. But even though we're missing everything. I

kinda... Like it here." He stopped, running a hand through his shoulder length silver hair. Sora nodded in underastanding. They

belonged here.

"Do you think we're under the same Sky. You know, as them?" Sora asked.

"Yes."

"mm."

"We are the dark, They are the light. Nothing we can do now will change that." Riku shrugged as Sora smiled slightly.

Pushing himself up, he walked toward the waves, lapping on the beach. peering out, he suddenly thought of something.

"Broken Sky."

"What?" Riku asked confused, comming to a stop beside him.

"That's what this place is called." Sora returned with a smug smile.

"Yeah... I like the sound of that. They grinned before walking into the dark.

It engulfed them

Like a wave to the beach.
