It was the best day of the week ! Not just was it Friday but it was payday ! Although Dipper told his uncle he'd work for free , both of them knew he needed the money . Each Friday Stan would ask him to close up the shop and direct him to his pay check . After cleaning up the shop , he would lock the doors behind him and head for his small pick-up truck . Since he only worked at the Mystery Shack Monday through Friday He didn't have a lot of extra money for nice things . Despite the lack of money , he would always get some flowers or candy before heading home . He liked Friday's best because both him and his sister were home and could spend time together . They decided they wouldn't be accepted in California with their parents so they rented a house in Gravity Falls where their secret would be safe . Arriving home , he is greeted by Waddles . He enters his small home and receives multiple hugs and kisses . He hands off the thoughtfully wrapped gifts to her . She shrieks and kisses him once more before heading to the kitchen . They serve dinner to one another and eat happily like a normal couple would . After dinner showers are taken and waddles gets his bath . They meet in their small living room where they watch a movie together . Soon after they brush their teeth then head to bed . They lie in bed looking closely at one another thinking how lucky they are before finally drifting to sleep . Most of the days aren't this enjoyable . Between homework , working at the Mystery Shack , and Dipper's apprenticeship , they rarely have alone time together . They did enjoy the time they would spend together and appreciate their opportunity to still be together .
