Lily Luna Potter concluded that the whole situation was completely unfair.

Four years ago, when James had started at Hogwarts, he had immediately written home about the fabulous friends he had made on the first day. There were so many of them that they were hard to count. Now, Lily got to see James with his friends everyday, having fun pulling pranks on teachers and unsuspecting students. Maybe she wanted to have fun pulling pranks with her own friends, but she had no such luck.

Then there was Albus, who had started two years ago. He had taken a little longer to get used to being among strangers than James, but within a week, he too had a small posse of students to call his friends.

You'll have such a great time, Lily! Her dad had said. Our years at Hogwarts were the greatest of our lives! You'll make friends on your first day, I promise!

Lair.

After hearing so many stories, she knew how it was supposed to happen. You were supposed to sit on the train and someone would have to sit with you, and you'd talk to them and all would be fine and dandy.

Except that's not what happened.

Lily had sat down at an empty compartment waiting for someone to sit next to her, and when they finally did, she was greeted with two third year Slytherins who didn't say a word to her the whole ride.

Then there was the sorting ceremony. She thought for sure she'd make a friend once she joined her new house, but it didn't work out the way she thought it would. After she was sorted into Ravenclaw, she was greeted by some of the older house members, who politely welcomed her and even had nice conversations with her, but of course after the sorting ceremony went on to hang out with the older kids, not first hers like her, which she supposed was natural. Nine other first years were sorted into Ravenclaw, which was less than Hufflepuff and Gryffindore. A lot of them had already talked on the train, and while she was able to talk to almost all of them, none them really seemed like they were going to become her best friend. In the two short weeks that she had been at school, she had talked to a lot of people and made quite a few acquaintances, but in her free time she was mostly left alone to her thoughts.

It was just bad luck, she assumed. She was no different than anyone else in the whole school, she was just one of the very few with bad luck.

James Sirius Potter was concerned.

He knew of people who just drifted through school not talking to anybody, just keeping to themselves. And he also knew that they were extremely weird and often weren't very successful after leaving Hogwarts.

This couldn't happen to Lily, it just couldn't. She deserved so much more than that. If anyone deserved to have friends and a bright future, it was Lily.

They're not even giving her a chance, he thought. They walk right by her in the hall and didn't even acknowledge her existence. Why did the nicest, happiest girl in the entire school have to have the worst luck? In his opinion, it was a tragedy.

And he wasn't going to allow it to get any worse.

Osiris and Cressida Carman were looking for the right person.

The last one they tried had failed miserably, and he had been their best chance yet.

But Hogwarts had to have someone special. Right when they had walked into the train, they knew it was the right place. Yes, the search would soon be over. In a matter of weeks, it would all be over, life would finally go back to normal.

Ever since the first death, their father, three years ago, their life had been a mess. After They took their brother, the family was forced to move from place to place, hiding and looking for the solution. It was only when They took their mother that they knew there wasn't much time, and that they'd have to act fast. But all was fine now! Everything would be okay.

Because this special person would be the answer to all of their problems.

Because this special person would make them happy again.

Because this special person would save them.

They could only hope that this special person would understand.

How was it? Please tell me what you think, should I continue this or try something else? Thanks for reading!
