Final Destination 6: Off the Rails

The pain of school is over for six teenagers and a boy. All of them now have the summer ahead. But as soon as they let their guard down, one of them has a vision of a train crash and helps them escape. But Death's design was broken, and now it's out to correct the rift and take revenge. Now the kids must find a way to escape their fates... but Death knows their every move.

Final Destination 6

Characters: Some of them will be developed within the story. Others, especially the bullies, will stay undeveloped. But I have all the character's traits in my mind.

Jason "Jay" Airaldi: A 16-year-old who is struggling to cope with his bipolar disorder, and does not find much meaning to his life. He is discriminated against and bullied at school, and with the exception of a few people, he is looked on with hatred and/or false pity. He is an overachiever, but now feels completely out of place at the intensified program at his high school.

Leo Robinson: The best friend and foil of Jason. He is relatively well-rounded, and earns good grades in the intensified program. He enjoys playing soccer and is a clarinetist in the band. Jason envies him deeply for his success.

Caroline "Carrie" Lynn Wallis: Jason's ex-girlfriend. Her parents are intolerant of him for being bipolar and depressed. Jason was sometimes obsessive for her when they were in a relationship. These two factors culminated in a falling out at a dinner that they organized a few months ago, which resulted in some broken china and tables. Carrie notices that Jason's mood is stabilizing, but she is still ambivalent about dating him again.

Max Wallis: Carrie's 12-year-old brother who enjoys antagonizing her. He is not very focused in school, and has been diagnosed with ADHD. Hypocritically, Mr. and Mrs. Wallis are paying more attention to Max than they are to Carrie, even though they hate Jason. Max never taunts his sister about her preexisting, debilitating problems; as a matter of fact, he does not understand them very much. He has an unrequited crush on Wendy Christensen, who also attends his school.

Kyle Wynorski: Jason's main tormentor who takes advantage of his condition half the time that he meets him. Kyle always attempts to act superior to everyone, just because he is the captain of the football team at the high school. He is Hunt Wynorski's brother.

Brittany Sanders: Kyle's girlfriend and Carrie's chief tormentor, who enjoys putting down and spreading rumors about anyone she deems to be inferior to her. She has had a special animosity toward Carrie after she won a cheerleading competition against her in eighth grade. Although Carrie now hates cheerleading, Brittany will still act viciously toward her.

Louise de Laurier: Carrie's best friend, and the only one in the group who enjoys academics. She is another of Brittany's main targets for her looks and interests. She has unfairly been labeled a lesbian and ostracized for it, and few people from school take notice. She suffers from depression and has tried to commit suicide in the past, but Carrie intervened.

This story will take place in the summer of 1999 in a big city (probably New York or Chicago).

The character names are not final, and neither is the setting, but the character qualities are. I have also settled on an initial disaster.

Alternatively, I could set this in 1994 and replace Max with Tod and George Waggner from FD1, and replace Carrie with an OC sister of theirs.
