Unknown POV

I had to get out.

I can't stay here anymore.

They may end up killing me.

Especially her.

"Come back here this instant you demon!"

I kept running as I heard them chasing after me telling me to come back. But I knew if I stopped I would be beaten and bruised. So I keep going without stopping. Their footsteps began to fade as I left them behind.

I kept running and running without looking back. I had to get away. I didn't look to either side at all. I just kept looking forward.

That was a mistake.

"Little girl get out of the road!"

"You are going to get hit!"

The next thing I know, I was hit and flew through the air.

'So this is how I die, at least I was able to escape that hell' I thought as I drifted off into eternal bliss at finally being free.

However, this is not my end. In fact, it's a new beginning.

"Awaken child."

I heard a voice calling out to me.

"Aren't I dead now?"

The voice chuckled at me and replied, "No child, you have been reborn anew."

I was curious and got the courage to try and open my eyes. My eyes opened slowly and the light blinded me for a few moments before I became aware of my surroundings. In front of me stood a woman who wore traditional Japanese garb. She looked be elderly, but the crazy part was that she was floating.

"Who are you? Where am I?" I asked frantically and scared.

"Calm yourself, child. You need not be afraid of me nor where you are," the woman began, "I am known as Taitsukun and you are on Mount Taikyoku."

"Taitsukun? Mount Taikyoku?" I asked bewildered.

"Child, you were originally from another world. However, unexpectedly you died too young. So you were reborn and transported to this world known as the Universe of the Four Gods."

"Why was I reborn here though?"

"Because your destiny involves saving the world from destruction."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean you are now a priestess in this lifetime."

"How can that be possible?"

"It is due to the Universe of the Four Gods choosing you."

"Why a priestess though?"

"Because of your pure heart and beautiful outlook on life."

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I was reborn into a new world and I am now a priestess. There is something bothering me though...

"Why is another priestess necessary if there are only 4 gods in this universe?"

Taiitsukun looked at me in surprise at my question but responded calmly.

"Child, you are necessary to change the future of our world," Taiitsukun began, "I felt it that you will be needed in helping the priestess of Suzaku who will have a rough road ahead of her."

"What can I do to help another priestess if I don't even know what I am able to do?"

"That's why you were brought here. You must train your powers here until it is time for you to gather your warriors and meet up with the priestess of Suzaku and her own warriors. Together you will work to save the 2 worlds from destruction."

"This is a lot to take in."

"You will be fine, child. You are stronger than you think."

'I should take this chance and live a better, fulfilled life by becoming a priestess.' the girl thought to herself.

"Ok then, I will do it."

"Good. Your training begins now."

With that, began my story as the Priestess of Raijin.
