We sat in a stagnant silence. Not a single person present could deny the fact that they knew this was how it would be. Even he knew it.
The gods above us planned this though, we could not stop it. We tried though; we tried as hard as we could. Everyone attempted to go along beside him. He wouldn't allow it though.
I tried to face the end with him. "No, I can't let you. Only I'm supposed to go," was all he told me. After the refusal of help he placed a soft kiss on my lips and left.
The gods that planned this were respecting the loss to the world also. Their tears washed over the faces of mourners, mixing with their tears.
No one prevented themselves from being wet from the rain. They sat would respect him one last time before he left the earth and sat through the rain.
She held my hand, giving me the strength to walk up. Look at his beautiful face for the last time. As I stood under the shelter of a small tent over the casket, I kissed his lips one last time. "I love you," was all that I could manage to say without collapsing.
I was the last one to see him. They closed the casket and began to lower him. Everyone watched, everyone cried, everyone held their breath as the body of Harry James Potter, the only boy who I every loved, was lowered into the ground.
A/N: This was inspired by "Gravedigger" by Dave Matthews. It was my first try at a one-shot. Please review!
