I finally have some time on my hands again, although not as much as I would have wanted. School took control for a while with a couple exams and other boring assignments, and unfortunately there's more to come, but oh well, I guess I'll survive that too.

The challenge word actually inspired a whole different story with some magic contraptions, but it became too long for a drabble, so I decided that I would make it into a one-shot instead, as soon as I find the time that is (and can get rid of all the other plot bunnies that are running ramped around in my head...)

Here's my drabble, a double this time:)

"Finally, we made it! It's amazing!" Sam said as he stepped towards the edge of Grand Canyon.

"Hey, do yo... DEAN!!!" he yelled as the ground unexpectedly disappeared beneath his feet, hurtling him downwards.

A hand stopped his fall.

Sam sighed in relief, but his panic returned tenfold as he looked up. Dean was strained to the utmost, barely hanging on to the cliff face. Sam realized with desperation that there was no way he would be able to pull them both up. In panic he tried to pry Dean's fingers from his wrist. But Dean's grip was unrelenting.

"Stop wriggling!" Dean hissed through clenched teeth, his grip on the cliff faltering.

Sam immediately stilled, instead pleading with his eyes for Dean to save himself by letting him go.

"Sorry, can't do that Sammy boy. If we're going down, we're going down together. Never thought it would be a friggin wonder of nature that finally got the best of us though"

Sam smiled half-heartedly at the quip, but it faded as Dean lost his last grip on the cliff and they spiraled towards the deep gorge.

A flutter of wings and strong hands encircled Dean's wrist.

"Cas..."

They were safe.
