Kaylie was dreaming. She, Payson, Emily and Lauren had to go into The Rock to practice for worlds and they were all a little put out by that.
"Don't whine guys. Worlds is so close. We have to be at our best."
"But we have to practice day and night Kaylie. I am never gonna get to see Damon."
"Yes you will." she said "And he'll be so happy when you get a gold medal."
"Your right." she said and they hugged.
Lauren was the only one looking on the bright side of things.
"At least the boys have to be here too."
Payson glared at her.
"Still going on about boys huh? Won't you ever learn?"
She was cut off by movement over on the empty pommel horse as they recognized Sasha who was doing tricks.
"Guys he's probably getting ready to start prac-"
Payson was cut off by Sasha who shot off of the pommel horse and onto the bars, flipping around them in fast, blurred motion. He stopped after a while and started climbing up to the rafters on the ceiling. All four of the girls watched in awe as he came down and sailed over to them. Sasha bared his teeth, now prominent fangs and hissed scaring the girls. Especially Payson.
"Follow me.' she said. They took off trying to run as Payson felt herself going down.
The bite was painful and Payson let out a scream.
Lauren stopped mourning the loss of her friend as the others made their way out the front door.
"I'm right here for you Kaylie." Carter's voice declared darker than usual. He was there apologizing to her. "I never meant to hurt you."
Lauren moved in front of Kaylie and offered to give herself as a sacrifice.
"It's a trap Kaylie. Run!"
Carter took Lauren inside his arms and she giggled as he bit her on the neck. The bite oddly didn't hurt as much as she thought it would and Lauren went down knowing that she had done a good thing for her friend.
Kaylie bolted out the door and Emily followed her.
They were outside when the fog cleared and Emily realized they had come to her favorite place.
The Pizza Shack looked normal from the outside and Kaylie knew who would be in their working tonight. Would Emily get bit?
Kaylie didn't have time to think as the fog cleared and a new person walked out from the dark mist.
The newest member of The Rock was champion for the Men's Division last year and had become friends with Kaylie. He told her he was safe but she didn't believe him.
"Let me show you." he smiled at her and she didn't notice fangs as with the previous boys.
Emily was standing right by his side and she said Kaylie could trust the new person.
He kissed her hand and she felt a sting but she didn't fall down. Her heart hurt a little for not believing that he was a good person who like everyone else was only trying to help her.
The Pizza Shack windows were lit and Damon was inside.
He covered Emily's eyes with his large hands and she squealed excitedly.
"Don't turn around."
"Damon."
The sound of his name brought the good chills with it and Emily smiled and kissed Damon Young.
The bite that followed was the most beautiful thing she had ever felt and she jumped inside his arms as he bit her neck again so that hickeys appeared on the skin there.
Vampires never were meant to be scary and when they looked like Damon Emily wasn't afraid.
Damon gave Emily one last heart pounding hot kiss and she wrapped herself around his waist.
Kaylie felt a bite as Razor joined them outside and she felt herself growing dizzy and was about to fall down when the newcomer caught her and held her safely in his arms.
Kaylie turned into a vampire and waited as Emily did the same.
They both laughed as Payson and Lauren came outside followed by Carter and Sasha. All of them were freshly created newborn vampires who had fallen in love at first bite and Kaylie and the others were ultimately okay with that.
Because they were finally truly happy.
