A Teddy Bear

A teddy bear is…
Someone you can cuddle.
Someone you can trust with all your secrets.
A teddy bear is someone that if you love it, it will love just as much, right back.
A teddy bear is someone who is always there.
A teddy bear has an interesting history.
Many people don't know about it.
So I will tell you:
Teddy bears were inspired by President Theodore Roosevelt, also known as Teddy.
Teddy was in the woods camping, when his men tied up a baby bear. He told them to let him go because he was helpless.
Someone heard of Teddy and the bear and made a comic of it. Everyone already loved their president, but now they loved him even more.
In New York, there was a couple named Morris and Rose Michtom. They saw the comic, and got the inspiration to create the first teddy bear.
Well you see, the michtoms owned a candy store. They just loved children.
Soon, they made another, and soon both bears were gone.
They soon discovered they needed a name for their creation. But what?
They thought that Teddy's bear was fitting. They wrote Teddy a letter to ask his permission to use his name it stated:
They added a bear to the letter and sent it.
They were afraid he wouldn't reply or would say no. Soon they got his letter. It stated:
They were very happy. That, my friend, is how teddy bears were made.
