Jackson is my original character, but I don't own CSI.
Inspired by The Last Ride, but no real spoilers.
And to all my readers in the US, I hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day!
This one basically wrote itself. The Last Ride was one of my favorite episodes this past season (and it originally aired in the US on my birthday!). When I saw the scene at the end, this story immediately popped into my head. Hope you all enjoy...and pretty please review!
Finn smiled when she saw the keys to the classic Cadillac in Greg's hand. They wanted to take the car for one last spin before it went back to the collection. And when Finn heard Greg's idea, she thought it was wonderful.
Thirty minutes later, they pulled up at Jackson's school and waited for Greg's son. Greg got out and smiled as Jackson and his classmates came out, laughing and chatting. Jackson smiled when he saw Greg and happily rushed to him. "Daddy!"
Greg smiled widely as he lifted his happy son. "Hi, Jacks! You have a good day?"
"Yeah! We play music an' read stories! An' Mrs. Bennett said I really good at my writing!"
"All right! Well, I've got a surprise for you."
Greg smiled softly as he led Jackson to the car. The little boy gasped and smiled when he saw the Cadillac car. "Whoa!"
"This is going back to the family that owns it," Greg explained. "But they're letting us use it."
"And we thought it would be a cool surprise," Finn added.
"Wow!" Jackson said. "This is so cool! We go for a ride?"
"Yep," Greg said.
Jackson's smiled and hugged Greg and Finn. "Let's go!"
Finn laughed softly as Jackson climbed in. Greg put Jackson's backpack in the backseat. "Be careful, Jacks. Get your seat belt on."
Jackson happily buckled his seat belt. "Come on, daddy! Let's go ridin'!"
"Guys and cars," Finn whispered with a small laugh as Greg got in.
The End.
