slip out from between silk-soft fingers

mortal gilded cage

tracing slow languid patterns serpentine
down madly breathing chest
patterns of red like royal tapestry
bare naked truth for you
hear your hurt
echo shimmering, trembling like a single taut strand
through the air
inordinate strength
hiding in an animal's shaking sob of pain
kneeling, dying
holding hands to an uncontrollable shivering chest
bow your head and bite your lips
struggle to breathe
through misted fantasy
swirling prophecy
Oh, when gentle diamond angels cry
beauty shines the pain
clutch your eyes tightly shut
pain will always stream
like the burgundy ribbons which even now
push through the gates stained red which block it
but take it
and know of what it speaks
don't dare to let it
