A/N: This is a random idea I got. I decided to write it. Please review. I am open to criticism and suggestions that would make future stories better.

Daniel poured himself another cup of coffee. It was 2:00 am and he had been up all night translating an ancient text that SG-6 had found. It was complicated and Daniel suspected that he would have to pull more than one all nighter to get through it.
He sighed and sat back down, accessing the text on his computer. I was going to be a long night.

Jack walked into Daniel's small office, not expecting to see what he did. Daniel was sitting in the middle of the floor; He was surrounded with coffee cups and books. His coffee maker was on the floor beside him. He was muttering very fast under his breath and didn't even notice that Jack had entered.
"Knock-knock." Jack said to get the archeologist's attention. Daniel jumped when he heard Jack's voice. He had been immersed completely in what ever he was reading.
"Don't scare me like that!" He exclaimed laughing. He poured himself another cup of coffee and offered one to Jack. The colonel turned it down and watched Daniel put 7 spoons of sugar in it.
"Are you alright, Danny boy?" He questioned. Daniel nodded his head and tried to go back to his reading. "What are you reading?"
"This." Daniel handed his book to Jack, who saw that the book had been upside down. He looked at Daniel again and noticed that he was fidgeting, as if he was bored.
"How many coffees have you had?"
"34!" He responded cheerfully. "And I was about to have my 35th when you came and scared me…" He was talking so fast that Jack couldn't keep up with what he was saying.
"…and that's why I think that Elephant's are so large!" Daniel finished. He was about to get another coffee when Jack grabbed the maker.
"There is a briefing on our last mission at 8, don't be late." He ordered, exiting the room despite the younger man's yells of objection.

Jack (for once) arrived early at the briefing room. He saw Sam and sat down next to her.
"Morning sir." She greeted.
"Morning Sam."
"Why do you have a coffee maker?"
"It's Daniel's."
"Oh. I see." She said. "Wait…no, I don't"
"He was up all night and had a little too much caffeine. I had to confiscate this before he killed himself."
A few minutes later, Daniel entered the room. He had a mug with 'World's best Dad!' written on it.
"Where did you get that?" Jack asked curiously.
"It's amazing what you can get when you blackmail people." He answered. Teal'c and General Hammond finally joined them.
"Daniel, would you like to give the mission report?" The general asked.
"I'd love to!" The caffeine-high man said over-enthusiastically.
Jack sighed. He knew that they would have to sit here for a long time and listen to Daniel's adjective packed report while trying to understand what he was saying.

Author's note:
I have some advice for everybody: never give an archeologist caffeine.
