I couldn't resist you
AN: I'm SO sorry i havent uploaded in my other stories but i wrote this one and hopefully you all arent too mad at me. This isn't my usual Delena story. All Stelena set sometime mid-season. Enjoy(:
Elena sat in her room crying tear after tear for Stefan. She missed him. It was as simple as that. Everyone knew she missed him, they could see her willowing away to the nothingness she felt where her heart should have been. All she wanted was Stefan back in her life for good. Not phone calls from him saying nothing, or dreams of him back in her life to wake up to no one with her.
It's sad because now she hides the pain. She plasters a smile on her face and laughs with everyone else so no one will have to worry. But sadly Elena knows better to believe that. Everyone worries about her, all day and all night. They've tried looking for Stefan without her and nothing has shown up. He just won't come home. She's just about given up. She can't believe that that's what it's come down to but it has. Everyone tells her to mourn but what's the point in it anymore? He'll never come back. Stefan will never be in her room anymore, he will never the Stefan she fell in love with.
So like every other morning she gets up and hides behind the makeup and clothes. The smile is glued to her face and she walks out the door. She doesn't know where she's going but she can't stand to be in her house. There are too many memories of him there. He was in every room. She can't seem to ever be alone in that house. His presence lingers everywhere, in and out of that house. She can't stay in Mystic Falls. Not anymore. So she jumps in her car and leaves not really knowing where to go.
She drives for what seems like eternity but it's only been a few days. She's in some town in some state she doesn't know or let alone care. She just wants a burger and fries and to get back on the road. Everyone looked at her like she was insane but she could care less. She needed to keep driving. She ate her food and as she walked out the door she couldn't help but see someone she knew. She walked up to him and tapped him on shoulder. When he turned around she was at a loss for words. There right in front of her eyes was Stefan.
She couldn't breathe. She stared into his green eyes forever. It was like he never even left. He scooped her into his arms and carried her out. She leaned her head on his chest and smelled him. It was Stefan here to take her home. She could be happy now. She imagined their life back in Mystic Falls again. Together forever. She smiled a real smile. Something she hasn't done in who knows how long. He set her down and she attacked his lips. He was frozen and she just assumed that he missed her. So she put all her passion into that single kiss so he could know that she needs him. He pulled her off of him and gave her the most serious look in his life. Elena knew what that meant. He wasn't coming home.
"Elena you know I miss you and I want to come home more than you know but Klaus needs me my loyalty is to him. I promise you I will see you again. This won't be the end of me. But what I need from you is to promise that you will be happy and that you will keep yourself safe. Just do this for me please Elena. I promise I will return. I promise"
And with that Stefan place a kiss on Elena's forehead and when she open her eyes he was gone. She started to cry and let everything out. She called Damon and he was there within seconds. He held her and she felt like maybe just maybe she could do what Stefan asked. Because she knew her Stefan would see her again, even if it was on her death bed. He would come back to her, because he couldn't resist her.
