Move in?
Meredith's POVThe beer was ice cold. And oh how good it felt down my throat. Six days ago I almost died and my mother died. I saw her, and I saw Deny. Oh if only Izzie could of seen him. I sighed, I had to many thought in my head and it was annoying me. I almost died, I have to live my life to the fullest now.
Then I heard a familiar voice next to me.
"Joe. Beer." Alex said.
"Coming up." Joe replied.
Alex sighed and placed his arms on the table he then turned to me. "hey."
"Hey." I said.
"How you doing?" he asked.
I knew what he was talking about, of course.
"Fine, I'm fine." I said. "My body's warm now."
He chuckled. "Good."
"Yeah." I said.
Joe came back with the beer and then handed it to Alex. "Thanks." Alex said.
"Yup." Joe said. Then he left.
Then it seemed like a light bulb clicked on in my head in that moment. George was living with Callie in a hotel. He moved out and there was an extra room. Alex has been a good friend, he can be an ass though. Wait, where does he live?
It's time for change. I need to start living my life and being a better person. Starting…Now.
I turned to him. "Alex."
He looked up. "Yeah?"
"Do you want to move in?" I asked.
"Move in?" he repeated.
He looked shocked.
"Yeah. I mean like George is married and he's living with Callie in a hotel. And so there is a spare room." I said.
"Move in?" he repeated once more.
This time he actually sounded happy and excited.
"Do you want to?" I asked. I bit my lower lip then released.
"Okay. But one question." He said.
"Yeah?" I asked.
He hesitated. "Never mind."
"You sure?" I asked.
"It's just that…Izzie and you and Derek and-"
"Alex. Listen I want you to move in. Please?"
I was begging. Now I'm the one who's shocked.
"Okay, I'll be by early tomorrow morning."
"Okay." I smiled.
He got off the stool and then paid Joe. "Night Mer." He said.
He started to walk away then turned around. "Mer?"
"Yeah?" I asked.
"Glad you didn't die." He smiled.
"Thanks. Night roomy." I laughed.
He chuckled then left the bar.
I sighed then I sipped more of beer. "Change is good." I whispered to myself.
