Hey guys, this is my first account, as other accounts shall remain... unknown. *Ahem,* anyway, I'm posting this because I wanted to at least post something before I completely ditched this account, as it was mainly used for fav-ing and following stories. Also, I wanted to test some formatting issues. This is just a random one-shot that I drafted in about ten minutes. However, I don't particularly dislike it, and I hope you enjoy it ;)

"Ah! Maya-chan, don't do that!" I chided my best friend playfully. Maya, being a full head taller than me, had easily plucked my hairband out of the messy waves of my blue hair. It's okay, I'm used to that.

Maya smiled, "Aw, Levy-chan. You're adorable. Come on, let's go home." We headed down the steps of the school building and out the front gate. Around us, 14-18 year-olds bustled out of the school, yelling and shoving in a primal fashion that reminded me of Natsu and Gray.

Master Makarov had granted my wish of attending high school for a full year. Not Fairy Hill's Academy: A real, ordinary human's school. The application was simple and intellectually easy, but none of them knew I was a mage. Of course I'd been sad to leave my friends at Fairy Tail behind. Lucy, Jet, and Droy and persistently tried to talk me out of leaving. However, this was something I wanted to do. I needed this experience. It hadn't been so bad. I'd already made friends, like Maya. Needless to say, there were always those… ah, less pleasurable ones to hang around.

Suddenly, I remembered something. "Maya-chan, go ahead without me. I forgot one of my books in my locker!"

Maya nodded as I took off back down the street the way I came. Already, the last few people were leaving the gates of the school. I sprinted through the dimly lit halls and reached my locker. Unfortunately, before I could open it, I was confronted by a huge shadow looming over me.

"Well, what do we have here?" A deep voice chuckled darkly. Two more figures stepped out from behind the first.

I breathed in sharply. Recognizing then from the rumors, I identified them as Joe, Bob, and Ed. Their names are as short as their attention spans. They were seniors, but I'm pretty sure they've stayed in high school over four years. Each of them was as dumb as a moose, but they had the strength to make up for it.

I cursed mentally. If only I was allowed to use Solid Script magic. I'd easily get away from them. However, Master had banned me from using magic, in fear that I'd be reported or expelled. Just when I was about to turn and run, Ed, the first and biggest guy, started to produce a soft dark purple glow in his right hand. I had seen it before. Energy magic? I gasped, "A mage!"

Before I had time to react, Ed had charged me, and the ball of crackling purple energy impacted against my skull.

I groaned, traces of Ed's energy ball still lingering in my brain, leaving dark purple spots in my vision. My heartbeat pulsed in my head, and a sharp wave of pain came over me as I tried to decipher where I was. A classroom. Suddenly, a dark figure caught my attention. My heart leaped to my throat, expecting Ed and his goons to attack again. Instead I found-

"Yo, shorty. Protect yourself better, I don't want to save your weak ass everyday."

Gajeel.
