This story is a missing scene from No Man's Land…yes some wee spoilers, so if you have not seen the episode I do not recommend ruining it by reading this little piece of writing. I know it's not much, but I still wish it could have actually been in the show!

I do NOT own Stargate Atlantis…I wish I DID, but unfortunately I don't 

Sheppard was blinded by the blast to his plane's wing, the force spinning his ship around and around. He felt bile rise in his throat as he became nauseous.

His body slammed into the canopy of his plane. His vision grayed as his head collided with the glass, his helmet doing little to dampen the blow. He looked through the cracked glass and thought he saw his planes life support venting into space.

Sheppard stirred in his seat, broken ribs protesting the movement, and watched as dozens of wraith darts soared past. He hated wraith with passion he did not know he possessed.

He was aware of the heat that radiated from his ruined wing. His mind was screaming as he felt his precious oxygen leave the ship. Please God let me save them, let me help Rodney and Ronon one last time before I die, he prayed silently. His lungs constricted painfully as he desperately tried to heave a single breathe of air. He welcomed the pain of his body; it kept him awake for now.

His silent battle to stay awake was soon lost and his vision blacked around the edges. The last this he felt before he totally subdued to the darkness was something violently pushing his plane forwards, at least he thought it was forwards. He couldn't die now, not now!

He was jolted awake by rough hands pulling him out of the cockpit. The wraith threw him unceremoniously to the ground and turned on him with wild eyes.

He felt no fear as one kicked his head savagely, unfortunately his body refused to return to the dark abyss. He felt every ache and pain as he was pulled upwards. His ribs drawing the most discomfort.

Sheppard was pulled between the wraith guards in a daze. One moment he was surrounded by wraith, and the next he was standing on his own and looking at Michael's pale face.

Thank you, now I can save them, now I can find my friends!
