Hi guys I'm struggling to get back on track with my hobbit story and I really want to make a good story out of it and for it to be the one I actually complete. I'm still loving my story plan but I have no idea how to keep going with it. How do you guys get rid of a serious case writers block? I'm stuck for how to write my current chapter. Here's a nice little one shot for you all. Hope you enjoy.
The king under the mountain was missing something
He had the gold
He didn't need the gold
He had the mountain
He ruled harshly but fairly
He had the companions
But not the one he yearned for
Thorin Oakenshield knew that he was missing something in his prolonged life
He had never been alone in his life
Surrounded by individuals who valued his opinion
And looked to him for guidance
Even in the darkest times
Where could he turn to when he began to question his own thoughts?
His nephews were too young to understand such a desire
Old enough to learn how to pleasure someone
Too young to learn how to love someone
The king under the mountain was missing something...
And he didn't know where to look
He hadn't lost anything
But it would complete him
Someone who valued his opinions
Someone who would tell him it would be alright when he started to doubt himself
The king under the mountain was a confident man
Who knew what his purpose was
Thorin was a private man
Who struggled with being alone
He was afraid to seek other individual's advice
He longed for the day when he could never be alone
But when he would have someone who loved him
Loved him enough to share his life with him
Thorin did not have friends
Thorin had companions
He felt the need to care for them all
He felt as though he owed them all a debt of gratitude
He did not have the right to ask them to follow him
But his company did
Young and old
They followed
None died
All suffered
All lived
To bring home their loved ones
But no loved ones belonged to Thorin Oakenshield
He watched
He longed for
But none came
The king under the mountain was alone
Every companion knew
No companion knew
Hiding in plain sight
Completely invisible
Was the king under the mountain
