There, the brunette boy stood there staring at his friend who was standing by a tree. She was right there, looking beautiful as the wind blew against her short blue hair. Now was his oppurtunity. He took his best friend, his dog, off his head and gently placed him down. "Today is it Akumaru, the day I finally tell her how i feel."

Akumaru gave him an encouraging "woof" and a face saying "You better not mess this up." Kiba nodded and slowly paced towards the blue-haired girl. She turned and saw him. "Oh hey Kiba!"

Kiba took his hood off and blushed. He nervously asked her, "Uh...hey Hinata. I have a question...er...more like I need your advice...about a girl I like...can you...um...help me?"

Hinata smiled and giggled. Having a crush on Naruto, she was happy to help. "Of course! I'm happy to help you!"

Kiba blushed even more but let out a soft sigh and tried to stay cool. "Well...I want to ask her if she likes me too...but I'm afraid to ask her. I don't know what the right time would be. And I don't know if I should. I'm afraid if I tell her...I'm afraid it will ruin our friendship..."

Hinata thought: Hmm...so it's his friend? I wonder who it is... She quickly said with a smile, "If she's truely your friend, then you won't have to worry about ruining your friendship. She'd be your friend no matter what."

Kiba knew what a kind-hearted person she was and that she truely was a real friend. "Ok...just asking, but if this girl happened to be you, what do you think would be a good time to tell her?"

Hinata thought and then realized something. Wait...could he be hinting that this girl could be me?...No...It couldn't be... Quicky regaining herself, she told him, "Anytime I guess."

Kiba blushed and gulped. He closed his eyes and quickly reopened them. He put his hands on Hinata's shoulders and looked into her eyes with longing. "I love you..."

Hinata's eyes grew large. She tought to herself: Kiba...loved me? I don't know how I feel anymore... Kiba kept gazing into this girl's eyes. With every second passing, he became more and more nervous and dissapointed. In the time lapse of one minute, he swiftly turned around, trying to hide tears. He tryed to say calmly, "I see...that's ok Hinata, I get it. You love Naruto. I guess I must've been really stupid to believe a girl like you would ever love me...tell me...are we still friends?"

Hinata still stood there looking down at the ground. Kiba choked on a few tears and began walking away. Before he could take a step, Hinata had grabbed his arm. He turned around and saw she was smiling and blushing. Hinata told Kiba, "Yes...we're still friends...but how about we try to be something more?"

Kiba smiled and then asked, "What about Naruto? I thought you loved him"

"Naruto is nice and all...but obviously isn't the one for me. I need someone who will notice me, and won't be afraid to tell me that he loves me. I've known you long enough Kiba to know you're a great guy. Telling me that has made me realize something I never noticed before...I love you too."

Kiba smiled and held Hinata in his arms, happy tears rolling down his cheeks. Hinata looked up and Kiba looked down. They gazed into eachother's eyes. They closed their eyes slowly and blushed. Their heads leaned closer and closer. Then akumaru jumped in and tackeled them both. Sitting on the ground with Hinata, Kiba laughed and said, "Don't worry boy, I still love you too."

They all laughed. Sitting in the grass, never wanting this moment to end. "Friends for always..."
