"Damn it!" Decker angrily punched his fist onto the dash of the car, watching once again the A-team van escape him. Crane's quick reaction of slamming on the brakes and wrenching the car around had stopped them from hitting the water.

Smith had the audacity to get out and goad him, too. The smug bastard had just blown out the bridge.

"One day, Smith. One day," he seethed, his eyes fixed on the man he hated most.

"Colonel, there is another route, twenty miles west, but..." Crane fumbled with a road map.

"-Do it!"

"But there's a good possibility they'll get an opportunity to get off the road before we reach it."

"I don't care. We're this close." Decker's fist was still clenched, eyes still fixed on the van and its trail of dust it was leaving behind. "We'll find them. We have to."

Crane quickly threw the map on the back seat, yanked on the steering wheel and turned the vehicle into the opposite direction, slamming his foot to the floor. The car sped away, dust, dirt and stones flying from the back wheels.

"Whatever it takes, Captain. I want Smith!"

Crane nodded but didn't take his eyes off the road, just pushed his foot on the throttle harder. The car surged.

"Captain, call for backup! I want every route up ahead of the A-team blocked."

"Yes, Sir," Crane replied, reaching for the radio.
