A/N: Hiya I kinda wrote this cuz it's Kissing Day (or something like that) here in Britain. So… yeah.

It was going to be a long week.

Tuesday was only just starting, but it already felt like Thursday. The Chipmunks and the Chipettes were walking to school, worn out from Monday. Alvin and Brittany were too tired to fight.

"What's happening today?" Brittany asked sleepily.

"Not a lot," Simon answered. "Well, apart from it being National Kissing Day in Britain."

Immediately Alvin's mind hatched a plan.

"Well," he said nobly. "I think we should honour this great day."

"But we don't live in Britain," Jeanette pointed out. Alvin frowned slightly.

"There must be a good reason behind it!" Alvin said.

"Yeah," Simon said sarcastically. "So they wouldn't all try to kill each other for a day." Jeanette giggled.

"Well, I stand by what I say," Alvin declared, and he turned to Brittany. His lips came crashing down on hers, but moving invitingly, and Brittany found herself kissing him back.

"What'd you think, Eleanor?" Theodore asked, turning to his counterpart.

In response, Eleanor went to kiss the green-clad Chipmunk on the cheek. But he turned to face her at the last second, and their lips touched.

"Next time," Simon said to Jeanette. "Next time, I'm keeping my mouth shut."

"Hey, Si, it's National Kissing Day in Britain!" Alvin said, finally letting go of Brittany. "Don't disappoint Jeanette!"

Jeanette flushed bright red.

Alvin continued pestering Simon for the rest of the day, making kissy-faces and random comments at him. Simon eventually lost his stupid elder brother in a crowded hallway.

Jeanette was just getting her bag out of her locker when she heard a familiar voice beside her say her name. She turned around.

"Oh! Hello, Simon," she said.

"Hello," Simon said nervously. They started walking out of school together. "So, I was thinking about what Alvin said before school, and…"

"Yes?" Jeanette asked, feeling slightly excited.

"Well, I was wondering if it'd be okay if… if I were to… um…"

"Yes?" Jeanette asked again.

"If I were to… to do… well, to do this…"

Simon leaned down and gently pressed his lips to Jeanette's. A powerful electrical current seemed to pass through them where their lips touched, melting them together. They had stopped walking, but Simon moved forwards, hands on Jeanette's waist, until she was sandwiched between him and a locker. They stood there for a while, just kissing, until somebody cleared their throat.

Simon pulled away, turning round. Both of them turned red. It was Mr Talbot, the principal, flanked by their siblings. Alvin and Brittany were smirking like they'd just seen Superman sucked into a jet propeller. Theodore and Eleanor were smiling like they'd just seen the sweetest thing ever.

"Erm…" Simon stuttered.

"Dude, that was huge." Alvin said. Simon sneaked his hand back around Jeanette's waist.
