From Shadow to Sun
The first step,
In the shadow.
Grass is cool.
Air is damp.
World is dark.
The second step,
In the sun.
Grass is warm.
Air is crisp.
World is bright.
The first step,
Seems long
And uninviting.
Should go back.
The second step,
Welcoming you
With every breath.
Worth the wait.
Going from the shadow
To the sun
Is not as easy
As it sounds.
You have to take it
Little by little.
Every step
Is just as important.
