"Remus-"
"No Sirius! I've had enough! Enough of seeing you with a different girl each week! Enough of you ignoring me to spend time with Abbey, or Georgia or Claire! Enough of YOU!"
Remus turned around and made to storm upstairs to the dormitory but Sirius grabbed his wrist and pulled him back so that they were face to face.
"I don't get what your problem with me and my girlfriends is," said Sirius, running his free hand through his long, dark hair.
"It doesn't matter. Just forget it." He would not ruin their friendship. He would not tell the other boy how he really felt every time he saw his best friend smile and casually throw his arm around him. He couldn't. It would ruin everything. He tried to pull his wrist away but Sirius refused to let go.
"Remmy, please?"
Damn it! He hadn't been able to resist that nickname ever since Sirius had given it to him back in first year.
"I like you, OK?" he shouted. Then, on a sudden impulse, he closed the gap between them, leant forward and pressed his lips to Sirius'. Glad that he'd finally had the courage to do it, worried about his best friend's reaction…
Sirius was shocked. Completely and utterly shocked. He hadn't expected this. He definitelyhadn't expected it to feel so right. After all the girls he had ever kissed - and there were a number of them- none of them had ever felt like this. However, he didn't respond and Remus, extremely red in the face, pulled away.
"I'm sorry Siri," he whispered before turning back to the dormitories. Tears were threatening to fall and he didn't want to cry here.
"Remmy?" Sirius began but the young werewolf didn't turn back, so he reached forward and forced him to.
"Sirius, I don't want to hear this! I can't-" but his words were cut off by Sirius' sudden kiss.
It was Remus' turn to be shocked but he didn't waste time and responded immediately by deepening the kiss and wrapping his arms around the other boy. He enjoyed the sensations that started to course through his body when he felt Sirius do the same.
Neither of them noticed or cared that the entire common room was staring at them with knowing smiles, as if they'd all known that this would have happened sooner or later.
Author's Note - I know it's not a very original title and there's so many of these around but the story came to me late last night and I had to write it down. It's my first fanfic and it's not my best work but hoping I'll get better! Hope you enjoyed it!
