Clearly this isn't mine

It is a prequel to Breaking the Rules and Mary is Archibald and Lily's first child

Lily was surprised one day to hear a knock at the door. She went to answer the door and there, outside the door stood her twin sister.

"ROSE," she exclaimed delighted as they shared a hug, "What are you doing here?"

"I… actually came to talk with you for a moment," Rose said and before Lily could say a word she continued, "I felt just awful about the fight that we had. I've been thinking about it so much lately.

"Honestly," she said, "I don't know what took hold of me. I was petty and ill-mannered. I told myself I was looking out for your good but the truth is I don't know what the hell I was doing. It may have something to do with the nightmares I'd been having before the fight-"

"You'd been having nightmares," Lily interrupted, "why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't tell you because I knew you would say the same thing as I tried to tell myself. Nightmares are only nightmares. They don't mean a thing. It's stupid to base your decisions off of a dream. Mentally I knew that"

"Rose," Lily said, "Sisters fight, but they still love each other. I had never stopped loving you. I will never stop loving you. You are my best friend and my twin. Nobody and nothing can take your place.

"As for the nightmares yes it's true that nightmares are only nightmares and the like but I would have understood where you were coming from if you had explained about those nightmares. I really thought you were being judgmental about something you knew nothing about without reason. What was the dream about anyway?"

"It was always the same. I always ended up losing you"

Lily looked at her sister.

"That will never happen. We can't lose each other because we are a part of each other. Do you understand that?"

"I do, and guess what?"

"You're going to be a mother," Lily said as a statement of fact.

"Yes. How did you know?"

"I know because I'm pregnant again too. I'm thinking this one is going to be a boy"

Archibald and Lily already had 3-year-old Mary and Lily felt differently this pregnancy.

Just then Archibald came in.

"Lily you're supposed to be resting darling," he said

"Archie," she laughed, "I'd like you to meet my sister, Rose"

"You be sure to take care of my sister," Rose said, "and to be good to her"
