The Filler Of Death
It was a normal day, I woke up as usual and Sammuel wasn't home so I went out to walk around.
I knew the town by heat already but I was looking for something specific, or should I say two specific people.
"Now where are they?" I asked myself as I looked for the two people I met yesterday, Neku and Shiki. "Where are who?" I heard a voice behind me, I turned around to see a boy with medium sized hair are dark, almost black eyes. "N-n-no one" I stuttered and walked away.
"Neku you know this guy? Don't insult him" I heard a voice from a far. I walked around to see Shiki and Neku there with two other people I didn't know, bickering.
One of the other people I didn't know was tall and musular, he was complaining on how he couldn't "scan" Neku or Shiki and how he thinks they're Reapers. And the other person was a little girl, she had the same taste in clothes as the boy and wore a hat. She was short with blond hair, she was most likely his partner, hence the reason why she was trying to hold him back most likely.
After hearing them argue I found out the larger boy's name was Beat and the young girl's name was Rhyme.
"They're players just like us" Said Rhyme to her partner, Beat. "Remember when you first met me, you couldn't scan me either." She added. Beat pondered what she said for a second and decided to stop arguing with Neku and Shiki.
Rhyme pointed out the player pins that Shiki and Neku had on. "Sorry" Said Beat to both Shiki and Neku. "Oh it's all right" said Shiki as she openly forgave Beat while Neku on the other hand stayed quiet.
"Oh so I suppose that there are more than just Shiki and Neku playing this game, although I shouldn't be surprise." I said walking towards the players. "Hikari!" yelled Shiki with delight. "Good to see you guys." I said with a smile.
"Yo is she a reaper or a player?" Said Beat. "Why don't you scan me to try to find out?" I said in a monotone voice. Beat grabbed his player pin and closed his eyes, most likely scanning me.
'Geez he could have done this in the first place, idiot.' I thought to myself. "Hey!" Said Beat as he snapped out of his little scanning trance. "I'm not an idiot! I just didn't think of that…" He said as his voice trailed off a little. I laughed to myself "I suppose common sense isn't so common" I said with a Neku-toned voice.
