Lots of things have happened to me lately. It's been at least a year since I saw the Salvatore brothers. Stefan and I broke up not long before they left. To be honest I didn't, how should I say this, "feel a spark" anymore. Then Damon and I "accidentally" kissed... To be honest I'm not complaining.
Jeremy had to get out of Mystic falls to try and "figure stuff out" with the whole Anna and Bonnie issue, he has had some rough times. Bonnie isn't coming around much since, well YOU KNOW. I miss her and Caroline being around and even Tyler and Matt not being totally freaked out around me.
So it was SUPPOSED to be a normal day in Mystic Falls, VA. But that was until people started showing up. First was the casual appearance of Alaric and Bonnie. Bonnie smiled and waved at me. I returned the gesture happy she was finally warming up. Then Caroline and Tyler walked past and Caroline gave me a hug. Weird day already you think? Just wait. Then I swore I saw Jeremy talking to Anna on a park bench on the other side of the large field.
Then I almost fell over at the sight of my vampire ex-boyfriend Stefan Salvatore talking with Alaric, and Bonnie had replaced Anna's spot on the bench. I was getting dizzy and I stumbled a little but a pair of strong hands steadied me. I turned around to be face-to-face with Damon Salvatore. "Damon?" I was so confused "Ready for a reunion?" "What do you mean?" Then Stefan was behind me. "Elena!" he sounded happy to see me. "Stefan!" I was so obviously 'unhappy' to see him. "How have you been?" he asked. "Well, Winter's coming in less than a month. Close to time to hit the blood bank!" I said trying to drop the conversation. "Hey Stefan, I think Rick just called you." Damon said and Stefan shrugged and walked towards my teacher. "Thanks Damon" I give him a warm smile which he happily returns.
Later that night, everyone who had returned gathered at what used to be Aunt Jenna's house, now being mine. Everybody shared what had been going on and stuff like that. I stuck close to Damon and AWAY from Stefan. Soon though everyone had to go. Jeremy simply went up to his room after he had said his good-byes. After everyone was gone I asked Damon to hang back for a minute. "Yes Elena?" he asked smiling "I was wondering..." "Yes I will stay with you a little later. I'll deal with Stefan later." I smiled and we were able to sneak past Jeremy's door to my own without waking him. After a good 3 hours of talking, silence and you guessed it- kissing... I fell asleep. When I woke up Damon was gone but a note left next to me was present. 'Talk to you later Elena. Don't want to tear Stefan apart. Too bad.' I couldn't help but giggle at the note. I could tell this would be a great reunion after all.
