A/N: It's short but I wrote it a long time ago and still like it.
Hermione gazed at the sky as she walked alone towards the quidditch stands. It was a gray and cloudy, and threatened to rain on the game. First it had been Harry endangering his life, and now Ron and Ginny were joining in. What was so great about quidditch anyways? Flying and getting your face smashed-in, did not look fun.
The clouds soon opened upon the grounds, making everything wet and mist-ified. Hermione suddenly got the feeling she was being watched. She slowly withdrew her wand from her cloak and spun around.
But she lowered it when she saw who it was. "Boys and their quidditch." Hermione smiled as she admired the young man in his fitting quidditch uniform.
"I will catch the snitch today." He had that determined gleam in his eyes that Hermione admired.
She grasped his sleeve and urged "Be careful." Then they parted, she to the bleachers and he back to the locker room.
The rain was pouring harder as Hermione raced along with everyone else out onto the field and to the fallen Harry. He was able to stand; in his grasp was the fluttering gold snitch. The other Gryffindor's cheered and Hermione screamed along.
As the rest of the crowd trudged back to the school, Hermione slowed her steps and separated herself so she could wait for her seeker. He appeared from around the corner; his hair wet from the rain, cheeks red from the cold, and dressed in his school robes. Hermione glanced to see if any stragglers were coming before she gave him a hug. "Good game." She murmured into his chest.
After a moment or so he pulled away from their embrace and continued to walk back to the school. Hermione watched his retreating tall and proud figure a torch's flame flickered off his platinum blonde hair. Just before he turned the corner, he looked back at her and winked.
Smiling and suddenly feeling energetic despite the gloomy weather, Hermione went back to the Gryffindor common room and celebrated another win with all her friends.
