Darkness' Claim - Without you

~ Takes place after Legolas learns of Aragorn's fall when they were heading for Helm's Deep ~
Without You
Hate and grief mingled in my heart,
this was such an unfair start.
I looked down with dread,
And could not stop tears to shed.
Hidden did I keep them well,
For when Theoden came, he could not tell.
Behind me Gimli stood still,
afraid when he would move, evil would take at will.
But to me, Evil had already come,
and look now at what it had done.
It had taken my love and with that my all,
I no longer stood proud and tall.
Lonesome and without cause I felt,
and I missed all things the Ranger once beheld.
We had to go on, or so I was told,
but for me there was nothing new yet to behold.
I closed my eyes and in the darkness I fell,
before me, the deadly depth, I longed for as well.
Together with Estel I would lay,
The quest.. No longer did it matter if we went astray.
The others behind me went on to Helm's Deep,
even Gimli followed all to the human's keep.
But, here in the depths of Rohan I wished to remain,
dying along my love would not be in vain.
Foward I leaned and down I fell,
on to my lover's fortune I would go as well.
At the bottom our body's will lay in this pit,
together always, as to me it seemed fit.
A/N Aha, never knew I could think of this so quick :D I wanted to write a short story first, when I was in the hopsital, for I did not want to continue the other DC fic without the DVD by my side (and I have this little writer's block), but maybe I'll be released tomorrow or the day after, dunno yet. I really really hope so though! So here comes this! You like this? I might make a fic out of it.... Tell me and I'll write and prequel or a sequel, whatever you like best, me haves some great idears for a sequal! Anyway, lemme know!
