Life was just dandy for one Shiranui Genma.
He was currently in the hospital after busting his arm over a mission.
He didn't really think his arm was that big of a deal. After all, his arm wasn't bleeding that much. It was nothing but a flesh wound. But did his partner listen? Noooo…
His partner, the oh-so-ever-stoic Raido, literally dragged Genma to the hospital, disregarding the commotion and death threats that Genma was making.
Upon reaching the hospital, Genma was bustled away by a rather manly looking nurse. Deciding that there was no way in hell he will ever escape from the iron clutches of the nurse, who apparently had perfected the art of manhandling an injured shinobi like an escaped convict, Genma vowed revenge upon his teammate.
"Here you go, Genma- san. Room number 401. The Head Nurse wants you to stay in here at least over night in case your arm gets infected."
As the nurse rattled on, Genma tuned her out. They came upon the room number 401 and the nurse left, giving him a wave and a stern warning about what would happen to him if he ever tried to escape.
Genma entered the room and was promptly assaulted in the face with a pillow despite having ninja reflexes.
Whatthehellwasthat?
"Whoops! Sorry Genma- san. That was not meant for you. That was meant for my youthful and hip rival!"
Oh god, no!
Apparently, some deity up there likes to play tricks on Genma for Maito Gai was lying on his bed with his foot elevated to the ceiling. Clearly, he was suffering from a broken leg.
And did Gai just say the word 'rival'?
Then that must mean…
"Yo Genma."
And a sense of doom came over Genma as he turned around and saw one Hatake Kakashi lying on one of the hospital beds near the window with a bandage around his head and chest.
"Kakashi? What the hell are you doing here? I thought you were supposed to be on a mission near the Rain country."
Kakashi's eyes wrinkled as he replied back, "Oh. I was. But then while I was on the mission, a rabid rabbit tried to attack me so I was sent back here."
Silence commenced the room as Genma just stared at Kakashi. Clearly, the guy had been hit over the head a bit too hard.
Deciding that he didn't care anymore, Genma plopped down on to one of the abandoned beds. He was just getting comfortable when the door to the room opened and none other than the Hokage entered the room.
Well the day can only go downhill from here.
