Foreign

Relief was a foreign concept to House, he could barely remember anything other than pain. So when he gets his employees to describe the feeling he realises how they take it for granted, much like how he did and he wonders, not for the first time, how things would have been if Stacey had not done what she did.

Cling

Wilson clung to the idea of companionship almost as much as House clung to the reasoning that everybody lied. They both knew it was irrational, it meant nothing, but it was what they needed. They craved something to cling to and that was probably why they fit together so well.

Book

Gregory House was hard to describe, some might call him cynical, others would say he needed help. But there was one thing everyone agreed upon, and that was the fact he was a brilliant doctor. Chase, although he agreed with this, had one more thing to add as he saw his abandoned medical book on the ground: House was far better than any damn book.

Comfort

Wilson was always there to pick up the pieces and he wasn't so sure on how he felt about that. So, he turned to others in comfort and in a way to forget, it worked until his marriage started to detoriate... and then not much at all did anything to comfort him or ease his woes. Wilson wondered, once more, why life had bit him in the ass before he fell asleep next to yet another nameless girl.

Lying

Maybe he was lying when he said he didn't have feelings for Stacey and maybe he was lying when he said Wilson's friendship meant nothing to him. But he wasn't lying when he told Chase he loved him and Chase knew it, he wasn't lying when he said he wanted to fire Chase (but he didn't need to know that). So, to protect his love he'd tell another lie.

Glass

During recovery House just wanted to scream, to shout, to chuck a tantrum. Stacey was treating him like an invalid carved out of glass and he couldn't help but blame her for his condition. If she had listened to him he wouldn't need this. He knew she was trying to do the right thing, but he couldn't help but hate her for doing this to him and treating him like glass.
