THE VIDEO

DISCLAIMER

Just a plot bunny that wouldn't leave me alone. Takes place after "Tall Tales". Belongs to the CW. "I Love Rock 'N' Roll" belongs to Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. Changed some words to make it fit the story.

On the hotel bed, Sam booted up his computer, went on-line, brought up his favorites list, and clicked on a link.

"Hey, a new video," he noted. He clicked on the address and a video started. He chuckled. "Hey, I remember this," he commented. Then, pausing it, he looked over his shoulder.

"Dean! Hey, Dean!" he called.

"What?" Dean called irritability, coming over to the bed. "What's this? You can look up babes, but I can't?" he questioned.

"Shut up and just watch," Sam said. Dean sighed and sat next to his brother. A guy and a girl were standing in front of their friends, microphones in their hands. The girl started.

I saw him dancin' there by the record machine

I knew he must a been about seventeen

The beat was goin' strong

Playin' my favorite song

An I could tell it wouldn't be long

Till he was with me, yeah me

An I could tell it wouldn't be long

Till he was with me, yeah me, singin'

"Is that you and Jessica?" Dean asked in surprise.

"Yeah," Sam responded with a soft smile. That had been a great day. He had had so much fun doing this.

I love rock 'n' roll

So put another dime in the jukebox, baby

I love rock 'n' roll

So come an take your time an dance with me

Jessica and Sam began dancing in time to the music "Wow. You guys are pretty good," Dean commented.

"Jess was better, but thanks," Sam responded.

She smiled so I got up an asked for her name

That don't matter, she said,

'Cause it's all the same

Said can I take you home where we can be alone

An next we were movin' on

She was with me, yeah me

Jess crooked a finger and danced backward, encouraging Sam to move forward. Dean continued to watch the video. He couldn't believe it. Sammy looked so happy in this video. And the kid had actually invited him to watch it. Dean felt honored that Sam had chosen to share a part of his "normal" life with him.

Next we were movin' on

She was me, yeah me, singin'

I love rock 'n' roll

So put another dime in the jukebox, baby

I love rock 'n' roll

So come an take your time an dance with me

By this time, Sam and Jessica were practically glued together as they danced in front of their friends. Dean whistled in surprise. Little brother was laying it on thick.

I love rock 'n' roll

So put another dime in the jukebox, baby

I love rock 'n' roll

So come an take your time an dance with me

An we'll be movin' on

An singin' that same old song

Yeah, me, singin'

I love rock 'n' roll

So put another dime in the jukebox, baby

I love rock 'n' roll

So come an take your time an dance with

Sam put his arms around Jessica's neck and she caressed a cheek.

I love rock 'n' roll

So put another dime in the jukebox, baby

I love rock 'n' roll

So come an take your time and dance with

Jessica ran her fingers through Sam's hair and he moaned.

I love rock 'n' roll

So put another dime in the jukebox, baby

I love rock 'n' roll

So come an take your time and dace with

I love rock 'n' roll

So put another dime in the jukebox, baby

I love rock 'n' roll

So come an take your time and dance with

The two moved even closer together, although it didn't seem possible.

I love rock 'n' roll

So put another dime in the jukebox, baby

I love rock 'n' roll

So come an take your time and dance with me!

Their friends cheered and applauded wildly.

"Dang. That was quite a performance, little brother," Dean commented.

"Yeah. It had been fun," Sam grinned. Then, he started searching for another gig.

"Hey, Sammy?" Dean said.

"Yeah?" Sam asked.

"Thanks for sharin'," Dean stated.

"No problem," Sam told him. Then, he moved aside so that his brother could see as well.
