Title: Snow Angel

By: Whispered Lies

A/N: Haha, sudden inspiration while reading some Christmas Heiji x Kazuha fics by Candyland. xD Haven't written fanfic one-shots in such a long time, much less SasuSaku…of some sort! My first foray into tragedy. I think. :D Please excuse my lack of updating for Ying Yang.

Summary: She was his beautiful snow angel lying in the ground.

A long, long time ago (in onceuponatime era), he thought he needed an honest-to-goodness reason to be able to love her. He regrets ever thinking that way.

She is so beautiful, lying on the ground before him. Pink hair matted against her wide forehead, body limp against the white expanse of snow beneath her. An almost ethereal presence; his wingless angel fallen from the sky. He admires her silently, reveling in the splattering of crimson ink across her body from their battle before. He doesn't tell her how much he loves her, how much he cherishes her. Because he finds no reason to tell her. Tell her anything. He knows she understands him like no other.

He is a heartless avenger, but he is human, after all. And she warms his heart the way the snow can't, and he wonders how he ever lived without her. How she ever lived so long without him.

He kneels down beside her, takes one cold hand in his, leans down to kiss her forehead. He smooths some runaway bangs out of her eyes,(almost) smiles tenderly (barely) at her. Her glossy green eyes stare blankly back at him, and he slips two thumbs over them to close them. Sighing, he sits back on his haunches, almost wishing that he hadn't killed her. But the blade running through her heart where she pierced him with her wonderful smiles, bright eyes paints a radiant picture against a landscape of white, emptiness, bleakness, loneliness, and the blood staining the snow around her is her glowing aura.

It was fun making snow angels with you, Sakura-chan, he thinks. Let's do it again soon. He intertwines his warm fingers with her stiff blue-tinted ones.

It is only with Sakura Haruno that he can be his true self.

He decides that since he can finally be with her, this is his last kill.

A/N: 00''. Rather…twisted, isn't it? Sasuke-kun needs to go see the psychologist, methinks.

I hope you guys liked, and that it didn't ruin your Christmas spirit or anything. Gingerbread cookies to all who review:D
