Similarities

"Ace!" Luffy grabbed someone's arm as he passed by him in the market.

The man turned around and blinked. "Luffy?"

Luffy widened his eyes. "Oh… you're… not him…" He realized his mistake immediately as he stared at the amber eyed man with corn colored wavy hair.

"You're Luffy, right? Monkey D. Luffy?" the man asked again, looking bright suddenly.

"Um… who…?" Luffy didn't recognize him.

"It's me! Shuraiya! The guy from the Pirate Race with a cute little sister, Adele," the man pointed at himself while grinning.

"Ah!" Now Luffy remembered. "It's been awhile, Shuraiya! How have you been?" Then he grinned as well, looking happy.

"Better than ever now, that I met you… You also look pretty good yourself. Have been running rampage in New World, I presume?"

"Ah… haha," Luffy laughed sheepishly.

"What are you doing here, by the way? Shopping?" Shuraiya asked after asking the younger boy to walk with him.

"Well, you can say that…" Luffy smiled slightly, looking ahead.

Shuraiya noticed that the boy had matured a lot than the last time they met. He looked more somber and wiser. Well, looking at how many battles he had had, it wasn't that strange.

"So… care to play around for awhile?" Shuraiya then held Luffy's arm while looking and smiling at the boy teasingly.

Luffy was silent for a moment before smiling. "Sure."

Then they played. Innocently. Or maybe not so innocently.

Shuraiya noticed something strange when he was about to kiss Luffy.

"Who are you looking at, Luffy?" he asked and Luffy widened his eyes.

He kept silent, unable to answer that simple question.

But he knew… that he wasn't looking at Shuraiya or everyone else.

Because he missed Ace so much… he saw him in everyone, even in the least similar person.

The End

A/N: It's been awhile since I made any of One Piece drable… well; I guess this will suffice for some gloomy mood I'm in right now. Ah, I'm a bit mellow. So, what do you think?
