Rachel and Wildvine
Rachel raced home from work and went to her favorite tree, wanting to swing from the branches and climb up. Before she could start climbing, vines came around her and one wrapped around her waist.
"Hey, kiddo," said a familiar voice. She turned to see Wildvine.
"Hey, Wildvine," she said, giving him a hug which he returned.
"Want to swing?" he asked. She nodded eagerly. "Okay," he said. "Hold on tight."
Rachel climbed on his back and held on as Wildvine started swinging through the trees. Rachel laughed in delight and soon Wildvine stopped at a certain large tree in the forest. Using his vines, he created a swing for her.
"Go ahead," he said, setting her down gently in the swing. "Swing."
Rachel pumped her legs and began swinging, laughing happily as Wildvine watched. He loved seeing her happy. Later on, he grabbed her and began tickling her, making her laugh as she tried to get away from his vines. Finally, he stopped tickling her and she cuddled up to him, falling asleep as night was coming on. Cuddling her close and using his vines to hold her in a sort of pouch in front of him, Wildvine swung back home and landed through her window after opening it. He then looked at the sleeping girl in his arms and set her down on her bed. When he went to leave, she woke up and asked him to stay. He complied and watched her fall asleep, marveling at the fact that while she knew he was carnivorous, she wasn't afraid of him, as he would never hurt her. He smiled again and then fell fast asleep.
