Maya stood in front of the vanity applying her make up getting ready for their evening out with their friends. Maya looked up and smiled when she saw her beautiful girlfriend Emily standing in the doorway staring at her.
"You look beautiful." Emily spoke as she walked further into the bathroom wrapping her arms around Maya small waist, placing a small kiss on the nape of her neck. Maya turned in her arms pecking Emily's lips. "Thank you but you look stunning." Emily had on a light pink V-Neck tee shirt with tight washed jeans and some simple black vans. Maya was dressed similarly except with a Black V-Neck, dark jeans and her black combat boots.
"Ready to head to the coffee shop?" Emily asked taking a step back. Maya nodded her head. "Let me finish my eye liner quickly. Did you make sure everyone was there?"
"Hanna just called asking if we were ever going to show up. She super excited about a simple karaoke night."
"It's the first time we have hung out all together in awhile. I'm not going to lie, I'm excitied too and nervous."
"why are you nervous?" Maya furrowed her brows then shook her head. "Singing in front of everyone."
"You have a beautiful voice Mayan. People deserve to hear it." she grabs Maya's hand giving it a squeeze before walking out the bathroom. "I'm in the car!" Emily yelled to her. "Shit I talk to much." Maya said to herself before leaving the bathroom.
They arrived to the coffee shop and walked in getting greeted by all their friends. "Took you long enough." Aria said smiling hugging the two. "Karaoke night wouldn't be the same if you missed it." Spencer added. "Being nasty is why we're late I assume." Hanna said resulting in Maya and Spencer slapping her shoulder.
"No I was getting ready." Maya answered. "Now lets get this party started."
Spencer and Toby were first singing Thinking out loud by Ed Sheeran, then Aria went up singing an original song. Maya sipped her drink gaining some liquid courage before walking up to the mic for her turn.
"Well here we go." Maya mumbled closing her eyes nodding her head to the beat as the song begins. She looks at Emily as she starts singing.

Maya opens her eyes and looked into Emily's eyes. She wanted Emily to feel her words.

As the song ended, Maya stepped off the staged and walked over to Emily grabbing her hand. "Emily… You are magic. Since the moment I laid eyes on you, I felt this love inside of me. You are perfect to me. You are worth everything and deserve everything. You've earned everything. You earned this and all I am asking for in return is the honor of being your wife. Maya gets down on one knew. "Emily Fields, Will you marry me?"
"Yes! Yes! Of course!" They kissed as all their friends cheered around them. -
