Rex had somehow survived the assault on Trost and the Reclaiming of Trost. He had joined the Survey Corps in hopes of helping humanity. Now not only a month into his new job he had not only found out that the woman he loved was a Titan but he had also gotten lost on the very next mission. Now he was out of gas and out of time. He had three abnormal's on his tail. He was not going to make it out of this alive. And he knew it.
I Want You To Know. All's Blacked Out But Continues To Grow. I Need You To See Nothing Can Change Unless You Believe.
He ran along the tree branches. If he was fast enough he could make it out in the nick of time. Using his 3DMG he propelled himself along the trees. If he was lucky he wouldn't need gas. Luck was something he had. But not THAT much luck. A sigh escaped his lips as he saw the abnormal's come rushing towards him. there was six now. He was screwed. And he knew it.

Rex was not going to die today. Not if he had any say in it! And if was destined to die today the he would at least take one of these bastards with him! Turning around Rex launched himself at the Titans. Narrowly avoiding one he hit its weak spot as he flew by. Hearing the sick crunch of the Titan falling to it's demise was music to Rex's ears. Testing the Gas Trigger he found that he still had some gas left. With a grin he attacked the next one.

The next Titan fell. Two down. Four left. He could do it! As he flew towards the next one another abnormal jumped up and took Rex's leg off. Pain filled the teen as he lost control. He fell to the ground below. He wasn't going to die without his team knowing who died here. He crawled to the nearest tree and pulled off his jacket. He then pulled out a picture of him and Annie back when they were still cadets. He used one of his swords to pin the jacket and picture to the tree.

As more Titans came Rex could only think of one thing. As a Titan picked him up he only saw one thing. As Rex slid down the Titan's throat he smiled. As Rex died the last thing he said was:
"Who Will Save You Now?...Annie?"
Miles away. Rex's words fell onto a girl frozen in a crystal cage. Unbeknownst to those guarding the cage a single tear fell from the girls face and through the crystals. Landing on the floor with a soundless *drop*.

Hours passed since Rex's death. Eren and Levi were the one's to find Rex's Last testament to the world. Two Titan corpse's and his Sword, Jacket and Picture. Balling his hand into a fist Eren pulled the blade out of the tree with vigor. Levi walked over to the fallen jacket and picture. Picking them up he walked away without a word. Eren was soon to follow.
Levi had shown up with Rex's jacket and picture in hand one day. He walked down to Annie's cell. With the jacket folded neatly and the picture on top he pulled a chair in front of the cage and placed them neatly down on the chair. Rex had lost his entire family in the attack on Trost. It was only fitting that his remnant's were left with the one he loved.
