The town was aglow with Christmas lights and decorations. Even though it was the middle of the night and freezing cold people still bustled about in excitement of getting off work or college for the next couple of days. A single woman stands at the edge of the street admiring the beautified buildings around her while avoiding getting in the way of passersby. She has dark lushes brown hair and wide blue eyes that shine from the Christmas lights and light pale skin. She's wearing sensible clothing with her white winter boots and large brown fluffy jacket and blue earmuffs with matching gloves. Still, Anastasia was freezing from the cold night air. Deciding to celebrate her self for getting through the first semester of her college year and to get herself out of the cold air she decided to get herself a drink from the nearest bar in town.

The bar was rustic but still classy with stools for the bar table and wooden tables with black steel chairs with a lace like design to them. Low hanging lights of red hung over every table and green lights illuminated the bar table. Making it still feel Christmas-y while not actually putting a lot of effort into it. Anastasia took a seat at a stool and made herself comfortable at the bar table. It wasn't noisy but the bar was still full of people talking and chatting with one man it seemed passed out drunk in the back corner of the bar.

"What can I get for you?" The nice bartinder woman asked.

"A simple class of beer from the tab would be nice," Anastasia asked while pulling out a book from her purse.

"Coming right up," she said with a wink.

Just as Anastasia was about to open her book a man came up beside her.

The man had a thing of messy straw colored hair and matching beard. Dark brown eyes and a blinding set of white teeth as the man smiled suavely at Anastasia. He wore a red woolen plaid button up shirt and a pair of blue jeans and brown snow boots.

"The name's William. What's yours?" he asked in a baritone smooth voice.

"Anastasia. How can I help you?" She asked curtly; slightly mad that she was being denied her time to read.

"Well I was thinking that you and me could go to my place or yours and share a bit of Christmas love," he said while moving his hips in a suggestive manner.

Anastasia looked up and down at the man with a blank tired stare.

"Here's your drink, hon," the bartender woman said while placing down her drink beside her.

Anastasia gave her a quick nod of appreciation then turned back to William, "No," she said simply.

"Okay," William said with a shrug and never bothered her again, respecting her right to say no.

The End
