If my Life was In Fact a Book
Books full of pages,
Full of life.
But if my life was in fact a book…
If it was a book, then it would be of adventures,
Then a revolution, not allowed, burned,
Passed in hand in hand, not seen.
If it was a book, then a book of love,
Of broken and renewed hearts,
Of chattered young tragedy, but strong.
If it was a book, then a classic.
One any would read at night,
In the silence.
If it was a book, then a guide,
For the lonely and the lost,
For the found and for the new.
It would have a dirty cover, but still look untorn,
Full of memories.
Full of pages, full of life.
But it would have many chapters,
And if my life was a book,
Then let it have no end.
