Cold Fingers.
Lucy sneezed softly into her jacket sleeve as she stumbled down the ice filled streets. She hated the winter for this exact reason. It was always so dang cold! Sure the ice and snow were beautiful, but it was cold!
Too cold! Lucy buried her face into her thin pink scarf as she continued down the lamplit street to her apartment. Lucy felt a shiver run through her as a hard gust of wind sliced through the night, the frigid air biting at her rosy nose and cheeks.
Goose bumps sprung up her arms as she ran up to her apartment building. After a long day at the guild, all she wanted to do was curl up under her comforter with a cup of hot cocoa to warm her frozen body.
Lucy swung the door opened rushing up the stairs and stopping at her door, a hard cough tearing the lining in her throat. Lucy unlocked her door as she unrolled her scarf and hung up her jacket and kicked off her shoes with a sigh.
She rubbed her sore throat swallowing a couple of times to get rid of the ache. She almost sighed again as she shrugged to herself, heading off to her kitchen for a scorching cup of 'Hot Lemon & Honey'.
After gulping down the hot liquid she stumbled into her room, rolling her eyes as they landed on the lump hidden under the bedspread. Lucy hurriedly grabbed pj's and ran to the bathroom to change. Lucy stomped up to the bed her fingers grasping the soft fabric as she ripped the blankets down off the bed.
"Natsu! Get out!" Lucy snapped as she glared daggers down at the snoring dragon slayer. Natsu groaned softly as he buried his face further into her pink pillow, completely ignoring her. Happy was curled up at Natsu's feet, purring softly in his sleep.
Lucy's anger faltered as she stared down at the sleeping boys. They looked so cute. Peaceful compared to their loud and boisterous self's when awake. Lucy shivered once before she made up her mind. "I'll kick him out later." She nodded to herself as she scooting onto the mattress next him, pulling the blankets back up.
Instantly her eyes started to droop, as the heat rolling off in waves from Natsu enveloped her frozen self. She absentmindedly slide towards the warmth snuggling into his arms.
Natsu's eyes shot opened as Lucy's cold fingers brushed his arm. She was freezing! Natsu shut his eyes ready to go back to sleep as he wrapped Lucy up in his scorching arms. Who snuggled up closer to him, having already fallen asleep...
