"I don't know about this Harry," Draco said uneasily "I mean the mother would try to flay us alive if we take her foal away from her"
Harry rolled his eyes Why did Draco HAVE to be such a little coward?
" Draco we have to and plus the mothers dead .been dead for about an hour it looks like." Harry replied.
They were in the Forbidden Forest for detention again and yet again, they were out saving the Unicorn population.
Draco shudders as he and Harry walked silently towards the beautiful golden foal. Harry was all the while praying that the mother had not belonged to a herd. The most dangerous type of unicorn was herded unicorns. Harry saw the soft wild beard on the mother and sighed. "Draco, watch yourself .These two are herd Unicorns."
"WHAT! I thought you said it was safe!"
"I said no such thing. Really please listen and you might learn something. Please hope that these two have only been gone a minute or two. Herd Unicorns almost never let each other out of sight." As Harry had been talking, Draco slowly began backing away.
"Draco? Wha….." Harry stopped in mid-sentence when he heard an angry snort behind him. He tuned slowly to see a very agitated Unicorn stallion.
Harry gulped loudly and began trying to back up. The stallion paid no mind to him and loped over to the dead mare. The strange thing was that the stallion's color was black and his horn was white.
The Stallion having seemingly concluding that its mate was dead .it searched the foal and guided it out of the clearing .he returned and approached Harry. Harry was all set to run his heart out if he had to.
The Stallion seemed to read his mind and cut Harry off from the path with a quick leap.
Harry, Watched the stallion rear up and trumpet out to his herd. The rest came to him and surrounded Harry. (Draco had long ago ran off somewhere)
The stallion approached him again; he took in the humans scent. Fear. Panic. Logic. Calmness. The strong leader turned to his fellows (He is wise. he does not let the emotion of fear control him and he has saved a Foal and is but a Foal himself. Should we not reward him for his services?)
(I agree. The young human is a brave… However, it is more like a wolf's than a horse or one of our brothers.)
Harry (not knowing how) understood that a debate was taking place and seemingly in his favor.
(It is decided that this human will be come one with us or we can summon the council over the humans reward.) The stallion said
(I say we summon the council) shouted several voices
The leader sent a telepathic message to Fawkes explaining what and why he wanted to do this thing
(Of course, I, cam .let me guess it is young Harry Potter.) Asked the Phoenix
(Yes, Almighty Phoenix it is thy Charge) replied the Lord of the Unicorns.
The Young Human was still afraid of them so the Stallion told the unicorns he could trust to take the Foal and Human to the gathering place. A few doubtful looks traveled his way but no one questioned him. For which he was grateful, with the Human afraid of him now, if a fight occurred he would never be able to approach him.
