"You know what Ms. L, I have get out of this dusty old island." The tanned brunette said as she shut the cash register with her hips, going through the bills that she took from it early to compensate her and her friend's pay. Going over to the dust covered door, she flipped the old open sign to its closed side, shooting dirty looks at the people who tried to come inside, even after she did that. The older woman looked at her from over the counter with slight concern, then sighed, smiling at the willful young girl.

"Are you really going to do it?" The older woman inquired, as she went over to the opposite side of the bar where the brunette stood. Watching her nod, her smile got wider, she would really miss that girl if she left; she just hoped that fate was looking down on her kindly.

"Mhm, and, this is for you, since I know you need that extra money," she said, putting the woman's wage and most of her own into the pouch of the apron that the woman was wearing. The woman looked at her in disbelief, and took it out of the slot, and gave it back to the brunette.

"You need it more than me right now, and since you're really going to do it, you deserve it." She smiled. "Now go, I'm going to deal with the boss, you need to get before he comes back!" Making shooing motions with her hands, she watched her leave as she sighed yet again, then coughed. Her blonde hair was becoming scraggily, and it's been a while since she's had a drink.

Sitting down on one of the empty barstools, she rested her elbows behind her, and stared at the door, wondering how far her young friend was going to get into her journey. "Good luck, Jade," she said, then started to tidy up the dingy old restaurant; she has a lot of explaining to do to her boss when he gets back… Not that she minds.
