Prologue:
Bon Jovi was sorely mistaken living life solely on a prayer. It was one of those optimistic motivational songs to keep you from slitting your wrists because living life was so much harder than dying. For Juniper Von Tess, Bon Jovi was right about one thing, she was always halfway there. There were no prayers to live on in her lifestyle. It was always a series of 'halfway there'-always consistent for every decision she made. Halfway there, but never crossing the finish line. No amount of blind faith could've made her believe otherwise.
She didn't know when she realized it, the way life seemed to always be against her in everything she did. If she went for a career, she couldn't keep up with its demands. If she started up a hobby, it was abandoned just as quickly as she picked it up. Lovers and friends were a fleeting idea of companionship. They came and went just as she did. She heavily believed she was destined to be alone; a bitter old spinster with numerous cats and sign that warned people to stay off her brown overgrown lawn.
She lived with no destination or purpose. Her only need was to belong; to something-anything. She needed, no-yearned to feel grounded. Even when it all seems pointless, she would never stop searching.
Juniper Von Tess was searching for contentment in this dreary withered life of hers.
She'd surrendered herself to a life of a wanderer.
The tingling feeling shot her at the tender age of twenty-one. The feeling itself, was not a metaphor. She had literally felt it climb up her spine, unrelenting until the idea popped up in her head to just drive. The impulse struck her hard. She had no reason, and no explanation, just the feeling that she had to search for something. But she didn't know what.
At first, she didn't mind the spontaneity. In fact, it gave her an opportunity to go on a wild adventure. With only the clothes on her back and the ones stuffed in her night sac, and the savings she'd accumulated when she was given allowances and side jobs she partook when she was of age to work, she set out to see the world. She planned that she would start out small, try another state to live, experience new things, and meet new people. Then she would go big and see the rest of the world; backpacking in Europe, and maybe lay under the shade on an exotic island.
She didn't know when she realized the pattern. Sometimes it was sporadic. She would be in a town or state and then she would get this itch gnawing from the inside, like her instinct was trying to tell her something. She would discard it, go on about her routine as if it were nothing. But then it started to get worse, each time the itch would intensify to the point where it became unavoidable and bad things started to happen. It would be a series of unfortunate events happening throughout her day; coffee spilling on her shirt, tripping over shoes, unexplainable accidents that she could've naturally avoided. Typical unfortunate events that started out harmless enough, but the longer she stayed, the accidents became more violent, more painful. It was like a domino effect, it only took one little mishap to start up a series of bad luck.
Then when she found herself in a hospital bed, the happenings became a concern. And she had been in her fair share of hospital beds, but only for minor injuries. So when it happened on more than one occasion whenever she felt that itch, she learned to never ignore it again. To disregard, would be stupid on her part.
Soon, the sensation started to dictate everywhere she went, and the time she was allowed to linger. Normally, any level-headed person would try to find a plausible explanation for that kind of phenomena. But Juniper summed up as fate, as if she was prolonging the inevitable by overstaying her welcome.
So Juniper went with the flow. If fate was pulling her to the end of the line, she would follow it to the ends of the earth.
How bad could it be?

I realize the idea itself seems cliché and over played. And maybe it is. But maybe it's not? Who knows really...
I myself, was looking for more of an in depth feel of a fanfiction. So while it may be just a little cliché, I plan to really develop Juniper's connection to our beloved lost boys. It won't be an instant connection. So thank you for reading.
