Disclaimer: I own nothing.
Everlasting in the waves;
Longing for a thing that steals and destroys.
Everything that my soul craves is found in the fear of men;
Death's grasp never comes.
Everlasting in the places I'm from, still my memory is but a distant one.
Neither demon, nor angel; I am but a man -
A broken soul that remembers pain -
Trapped in an endless cycle.
Everlasting I have seen cities rise and fall;
I have built in my heart a wall.
Death evades,
Heartache never fades.
Everlasting in the waves,
Fearing what steals and destroys,
What my soul craves is what my heart fears.
Death's grasp always leers.

Um, so, all right, I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to poetry... I'll admit it, okay, no need to say it, ;) This is my first poem! Well, my first real poem. *Cringing at own poem* *Laughing* And sorry about the - quite frankly - mortifying spacing. I couldn't figure it out, 'twas the best I could do.
