Me: Hey guys this is my second Httyd fic, most of my Httyd fics will be based off Httyd 2 anyway i loved this song and i loved the idea of Hiccstrid singing it so i hope you enjoy.

Set Snoggletog after Httyd 2:
Hiccup was in the forge working on his chiefly duties when his mother, Valka had come in.
Valka: Hiccup?
Hiccup: Yeah, mom?
Valka: You need to come see the decorations for tonight.
Hiccup: Alright, I'll be a minute.
Valka: No, now!
At the Great Hall:
Ruffnut: Hey Astrid, what did you get Hiccup for Snoggletog?
Astrid: Toothless dressed in a bow. Why do you ask?
Ruffnut: No Reason...
Astrid didn't question it further because she heard the call of a Night Fury and not just any Night Fury, Toothless.
Astrid: Hey babe, you're late.
Hiccup: Got held up with paperwork.
Snotlout: Hiccup, can us guys talk to you a minute?
Hiccup: Sure.
With the boys:
Hiccup: Whats up?
Snotlout: Whats up?! Whats up is that you're never late.
Tuffnut: Whats the real reason you were late?
Hiccup: Fine, I was working on Astrid's Present.
Snotlout: What is it?
Tuffnut: Yeah, what is it?
Hiccup: Don't tell her this but, I'm going to propose to her in front of everyone tonight.
All boys except Hiccup: Ohhhhhh.
That night:
The Snoggletog party was in full swing, Fishlegs and Snotlout were hitting on Ruffnut, Tuffnut was dancing crazy with Gobber, Valka was dancing with the dragons, and Astrid was standing, talking and laughing with some of her friends.
And Hiccup, well...
Hiccup was staring at Astrid with a lovesick expression. But then he realized now was a perfect opportunity to put his plan in motion. So he started whistling.
When Valka heard the whistle, she knew it was her Que to get Astrid on stage. Once Astrid was in front of Hiccup, he started singing.
Hiccup:I'll swim and sail on savage seas
With ne'er a fear of drowning
And gladly ride the waves of life
If you will marry me.
No scorching sun
Nor freezing cold
Will stop me on my journey.
If you will promise your heart-
Astrid was shocked to say the least but she joined in anyway.
Astrid:And love me for eternity.
My dearest one my darling dear
Your mighty words astound me
But I've no need of mighty deeds
When I feel your arms around me!
Everyone including Hiccup thought she sung beautifully. Astrid by this time had backed up against Hiccup's chest and turning to look at him.
Hiccup: But I would bring you rings of gold
I'd even sing you poetry
And I would keep you from all harm
If you would stay beside me!
Astrid: have no use for rings of gold
I care not for your poetry
I only want your hand to hold!
Hiccup:I only want you near me!
The song had gotten faster and everyone was stomping their feet or in Gobber's case, foot, on the floor.
Both:To love to kiss to sweetly hold
For the dancing and the dreaming
Through all life's sorrows and delights
I'll keep your love beside me
I'll swim and sail on savage seas
With ne'er a fear of drowing
And gladly ride the waves of life
If you will marry me!
When the song was over Hiccup got down on his good knee and Astrid gasped.
Hiccup: Astrid, you're my Milady, my Divine Beauty, and I would be the happiest man ever if you will be my Chieftess, my forever, Astrid, Will you Marry me?
Astrid: Yes, yes of course!
To Astrid this was the best Snoggletog ever!
